Oman’s IO Kitchens secures $2.8 million in seed funding round.

Oman-based IO Kitchens announced its success in raising $2.8 million in a seed funding round, led by the SME Development Fund and supported by a group of family offices and regional investors. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the startup, which focuses on delivering food services through its cloud kitchen model.

Founded in 2021 by Hisham Hassan, IO Kitchens offers a wide variety of meals through a delivery-only service. The company currently operates three cloud kitchens and manages a portfolio of over 30 food and beverage brands, solidifying its position as a leading player in Oman’s food sector.

The newly secured investment is expected to enable IO Kitchens to expand its operations across Oman, increase the capacity of its cloud kitchens, and invest in cutting-edge technology to enhance customer experiences. This funding will further strengthen the company's competitive edge and support its growth and innovation efforts.
